What We Believe

The Wolfe Valley Baptist Church is and will always remain an independent Christian church

Our Purpose...

To further the word of God by providing:

  • A place of assembly for believers

Hebrews 10:25 - "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."

  • A place of combined prayer

Matthew 18:19-20 - "Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."

  • Preaching and teaching the word of God

Colossians 3:16 - "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord."

  • A base for the furtherance (spreading) of the Gospel

Matthew 28: 19-20 - "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

Doctrine...

Believing the whole Bible (66 books) to be inspired, the infallible word of God, the final source of authority in matters of faith, principle and practice.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 - "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works."

The King James version is the only Bible version taught and preached at Wolfe Valley Baptist church. We believe in eternal security.
